Red Wharf Systems design and develop databases to control academic and medical research projects. We have many years experience of providing such support (please review the list of medical and academic projects assisted). During this time we have developed database templates that can be adapted to most research situations. Using these to drastically cut the time needed for development, we can provide sophisticated IT systems of a standard not usually available to projects with smaller budgets and limited life spans. For example, development of a straightforward research data capture system will only take a week or so. Equally, we have experience of designing and developing very complex research support systems that require several months programming effort, should that be required.

IT Support for Medical Research
The IT techniques applied in general research are equally valid in medical research but there are many special and sensitive issues regarding health data.
Based on experience providing IT Systems for Randomised Controlled Trials (see Clinical
Trials Supported) Red Wharf Systems is developing a generic Trials Management System
to control the capture and organisation of data for medical trials, as well as automating
the management and administration of the trials. The suite of systems will be based
on a platform of core functions that can be quickly be adapted to meet the requirements
of specific trials, cutting development time for each individual trial to a matter
